The Specialist for Worship & the Arts is in integral part of our team, helping to further St. Luke’s rich artistic tradition by bringing multiple styles of worship, special services, concerts, and events to life. This role is responsible for the behind-the-scenes aspects of worship services and special events, the functioning of the ministry office, maintaining excellence in communication, administration, and volunteer management. Note that while this position is Monday-Friday, some work on weekends and weeknights (for special services) will be required. These dates are generally known well in advance.  

The Assistant Director of Outreach and Justice will provide leadership to the ministry by leading our justice and equity work, recruiting and coordinating volunteer teams to execute strategy , and implementing processes that connect people to St. Luke's and the support it provides for healthy, long-term impact.

The Asst. Director of Administration, Operations & Human Resources is a full time, salaried position that supports the functions of the Executive Director of Administration, Operations & Human Resources through effective work in human resources, payroll for HR, insurance/financials, and administrative support. The Director of Student Ministries gets to make God real for students in 5th-12th grades by connecting faith to the questions asked in the most formative years of our lives. 

St. Luke’s Early Childhood Program serves children in our community and in the surrounding community from ages 10 months to 6 years of age. We believe that early childhood education provides enriching educational experiences in the developmental areas of a child’s life and St. Luke’s is unique to other Indianapolis area programs. We provide an opportunity for children of all ability levels to relate socially to each other, learn from each other and play together. This is a special opportunity to develop the foundation for Christian attitudes towards individual differences throughout the child’s life. 

Part-time team member of facilities will have a wide variety of responsibilities related to building management that will include but are not limited to: cleaning, room set-ups, routine maintenance, grounds management. This position requires professional presentation and communication, strong skills in teamwork and time-management, an ability to maintain focus while working, and physical ability to perform the demands of the job. The part-time position will work two partial days a week in addition to having responsibilities on Sundays at the St. Luke's Midtown Campus at 6185 Guilford Rd., Indianapolis. 

The IT Desktop and Data Analyst position's primary responsibilities include desktop and data support, analysis to all ministries and operations staff. This includes being the first point of contact for pc setup, providing technical assistance and support, and ROCK Church Management System data needs.

This position serves St. Luke’s United Methodist Church to lead and support the current software application technologies and integration of new software. This role will work to improve current ministry areas process, tools, and technology. The goal is to create an environment in which the church staff and volunteers can efficiently and effectively serve the congregation and the ministries.

A Childcare Caregiver’s primary responsibility is to provide direct care for children ages birth and up. A Caregiver welcomes each family and their children in a cheerful manner, and cares for and engages with children while their parents volunteer or attend classes, small groups, activities, or other events at the church. Childcare Caregivers ensure that children have the most positive experience possible while in the church’s care. Childcare is one of the most valuable programs in the church as it allows parents with young children to grow or live out their faith in various learning or serving opportunities within St. Luke’s. 

St. Luke's Early Childhood Program - 2023-2024 School Year Preschool Classroom Teaching Positions Available:
  • 3-year-old, 4-year-old classrooms and Substitutes
    Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education or closely related field and experience working with young children.
School is in session after Labor Day to before Memorial Day, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 1:15pm; children in class from 9am - 1pm; days of the week vary and are dependent on the class.
